Build Aviator’s diverse and dynamic team is made up of a variety of ex-trades experts.

They work with you to ensure that your project is costed correctly. Here is a little behind the scenes information on their experience and how they got to where they are today.

Julian

Before working at Build Aviator, Julian was a ‘Jack of all trades’ builder with stonework being his speciality. He has been in the construction industry all his adult life and whilst working gained a degree in Construction Management and became an incorporated member of the Chartered Institute of Building. He’s been working as an estimator for Build Aviator for a year and a half.

Julian’s top estimating tip is to always factor in a contingency fund for any unexpected mishaps, whether it simply be inclement weather or delays in the supply chain. There are always going to be elements that you can’t anticipate so it’s good to be prepared!

Wayne

Wayne has been part of our estimator team since 2016, he was one of the first estimators to be employed and is now our design estimator. Starting in the construction industry at 15 as a hod carrier, he quickly worked his way up the career ladder of the industry having previously worked as a joner, assistant site manager and site manager.

Wayne’s top estimating tip is always get to know your builder!

Brix

With experience in property development, logistics, purchasing, sales and running his own company, our Norfolk based estimator Brix has vast knowledge on a variety of different subjects. For 8 years Brix ran a property development company overseeing mostly refurbishment works. He also spent 10 years as a BOHS P402 Asbestos Surveyor working in the identification, control and overseeing the removal of asbestos-containing materials. He later ran his own company – he’s been a busy man! Brix then went on to work as a sales agent at our former software company Easy Price Pro, now known as Build Aviator Software, so he’s an expert in working with and moving around the specialist program he now uses as a Build Aviator estimator.

His top estimating tip would be to get your estimate in as quickly as possible to avoid any last-minute rush!

Mark

Based in Suffolk, Mark has spent 34 years in the construction industry. He specialised as a general builder, bricklayer and property developer – so you can say he knows the trade well! He’s only been with us at Build Aviator for 5 months but he’s an expert in all things construction!

His top estimating tip is the more information you have the better the estimate!
